Othervibe's foray into electronic music began in 1998, with the advent of mp3.com. There, he was exposed to artists like Trance][Control and Astral Projection.
In 2004, Othervibe learned how to DJ as part of his high school senior project.
His chance encounter with Pulsar founder, Kahn, in a college class in 2010, inspired his drive to play more frequently, at professional events.
This turn of events pushed Othervibe to explore psytrance, and to, over time, learn about the full range of emotion in psytrance.
Othervibe carried his love for melodic trance to his early exploration of psytrance and his melodically-oriented progressive psytrance and full-on sets from 2011 to 2013.
Not one to shy away from pushing the boundaries, Othervibe has developed a soft spot for groovy, bouncy, night psytrance, and this interest in night time music continues to this day.
Overtime, Othervibe also developed a taste for techno, progressive house, and house. In addition to psytrance, his Soundcloud catalogue also encompasses slower but nevertheless groovy beats, making him an adaptable artist for any dance floor.
Between 2018 and 2024, Othervibe was on semi-hiatus, performing at events periodically. From 2025 forward, he is slowly re-immersing himself in the underground scene, with the alias “Othervibe” for psytrance, and “Jozef” for house and techno.
Always one to pay meticulous attention to track selection, Othervibe seeks to guide listeners and dancers through vast sonic landscapes which encompass a wide range of moods and emotions.
Known for crafting strong arcs in his sets, Othervibe is pleased to perform various styles of music and to capture some of these aural voyages for posterity on Soundcloud.
