Doi Porras is the frontman and co-founder of Dominion, a band widely recognized as the “Philippine Goth Pioneers.” Since its formation in 1994, Dominion has significantly influenced the local goth scene, with their debut album Hand of Cain regarded as a landmark release.
Porras is also a co-founder of Subkulture Magazine, Klub Gargoyle, and the Eternal Death Wake Festival (with Japan’s Haruhiko Ash). These initiatives have played a pivotal role in promoting goth and alternative culture in the Philippines, Asia, and the United States.
Through Subkulture, Porras has supported and provided coverage for international acts such as Flesh for Lulu, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Kommunity FK, and Lacrimosa. Dominion’s international recognition includes being featured by journalist Mick Mercer in his book and radio show.
His work with notable figures including Kozi (Malice Mizer), Eve of Destiny, and Eve of the New Church, establishing him as a key figure in the development of Asian Goth Culture
