Rule of Two is a Norwegian cyberpunk-indie-electronic outfit with a darkwave edge. Formed in 2023 by Ronny Flissundet and Kristian Liljan—veterans of the Norwegian underground hard rock scene through bands like Damokles,KITE and Dunderbeist—the project began as an electronic side venture and quickly evolved into something far greater. Blending dark industrial, glitchy textures, aggressive synths, and mechanical grooves with lush dream pop, shimmering synth pop, ambient textures and a hint of shoegaze, offering a cinematic and emotionally charged soundscape. Inspirations range from bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Carpenter Brut, Depeche Mode and Crosses, to hardcore punk and classical compositions.
Their first public release came in January 2024 with the single “Bygones”, and the band has since kept up a prolific pace—releasing over 20 singles, 3 EPs, and 1 full-length album- “Aiming For The Sun” in November 2025.
Rule Of Two has so far done a handful of liveshows in Norway as a 5 piece band, and are planning on more shows for the fall of 2026
2026 will also see many single and EP releases + their second full length album.
